Leading the Shahi Snan (Royal Bath)

Juna Akhara traditionally takes the first position in the Shahi Snan—the most important ceremonial bath during Kumbh Mela.Thousands of Naga Sadhus, led by the Shri Mahant and Mahamandaleshwars, march in grand processions with chants, conch shells, and saffron flags.

Display of Spiritual Strength

The processions feature thousands of Naga Sadhus in ash-covered bodies, showcasing their renunciation, yogic powers, and commitment to Sanatan Dharma.The Akhara’s participation reflects its historic role as a guardian of Hindu traditions.

Initiation of New Disciples

Ganga Aarti and Yatras

Every evening, as the sun sets and the sacred Ganga flows in serene majesty, Juna Akhara sadhus and devotees gather on the riverbank to perform the Ganga Aarti—a deeply symbolic and spiritually uplifting ritual dedicated to Mother Ganga.

🔱 What Happens During the Aarti

Sacred chants and bhajans fill the air as priests wave oil lamps in synchronized motions.Large brass aarti diyas (lamps) glow brightly, symbolizing light over darkness and purity over ego. Devotees offer flowers, incense, and camphor flames to the river, seeking blessings and inner peace. The sound of conch shells and bells echoes, creating an atmosphere of divine energy and devotion.

Held daily at sunset on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar, Varanasi, or Kumbh Mela sites. Special Aartis during Maha Shivratri, Kumbh Mela, and other holy days draw thousands of seekers.

The Kashi Shaiv Mahotsav 2023, organized under the guidance of Juna Akhara, was a magnificent spiritual festival dedicated to Lord Shiva and the propagation of Shaivite philosophy. Held in Varanasi (Kashi)—the city of Shiva—it brought together thousands of saints, scholars, devotees, and spiritual seekers from across the country.Discourses on Shiva Tattva, Panchakshari Mantra (ॐ नमः शिवाय), and the Shaiva Agamas. Saints emphasized inner stillness, detachment, and Shiva as the Supreme Consciousness. Massive Rudra Abhishekams, Maha Yajnas, and Shiv Tandav Stotra chants performed. This sammelan brought together senior sadhus, Mahamandaleshwars, and hundreds of renunciates to reflect on key spiritual, ethical, and environmental concerns facing the Akhara and Hindu society today.Discussion on the spiritual impact and organizational success of Kumbh Mela 2021. Evaluation of sadhu conduct, management practices, and public outreach efforts. Emphasis on sadhu niyam (monastic codes), humility, and avoidance of material entanglements. 🔱 Nashik Spiritual Retreat (2023) – A Sacred Training for the Next Generation of Sadhus

The Nashik Spiritual Retreat 2023, conducted by Juna Akhara, was a focused and immersive spiritual training program for new initiates and disciples.
